With the advent of blockchain technology, it is now possible to “tokenize” assets and create digital trading vehicles that track the underlying asset.
Atomyze is one such company doing exactly that, and the first asset class they are tokenizing will be commodities, and in particular, metals.
Jeanine Hightower-Sellitto, CEO of Atoymze, discusses with David Lin, anchor for Kitco News, how tokenization works, and the the benefits of using this technology over legacy trading vehicles, like futures contracts.
Exploring why this nuclear fusion breakthrough matters.
Before you blow your fuse and start leaving your nuclear fusion jokes in the comments, there’s been a major fusion development we have to talk about and it’s kind of a nuclear bombshell … poor choice of words … it’s big news. It’s all about high-temperature semiconductors (ie. magnets).
Mark Palmer, BTIG Senior Research Analyst, joins Yahoo Finance’s Brian Sozzi and Emily McCormick to discuss how Meta plans to build out augmented reality platforms and the metaverse.
While renewable energy sources like solar and wind have now become cheaper than fossil fuels, developing long-term energy storage is key to overcome their intermittency. Lithium-ion batteries are the state-of-the-art battery technology but they can only cost-effectively provide energy for about 6 hours. So, what if we could extend the battery duration to 100 hours … out of thin air … and rust? Literally!
The Rise of actually real and useful Nanobots making use of the rapidly advancing miniaturization of robotics and microchips through companies such as TSMC, Intel and Samsung. These nanobots are soon going to enable things such as full-dive virtual reality, healing diseases such as cancer and potentially even increasing the longevity up to 200 years. These tiny computer/robots will enter our bloodstream and cross the blood-brain barrier to read and write similar to how Brain-Computer Interfaces such as Neuralink currently work. The future of technology is looking really exciting.
I join Caleb Silver in his show “The Investopedia Express” to talk about my passion for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the future of advertising, and why empathy is my guiding principle. Plus, investing, what I look for and how Influencer Marketing is evolving.
Androids are constantly improving but…well, let’s face it—they’re still pretty bad. There’s just something about them that still isn’t right and that could keep people from forming connections with them.
They often fall into what’s been dubbed the uncanny valley, an idea introduced in the 1970s by Japanese roboticist Masahiro Mori. He noticed how people seemed repulsed by things that were very close to human, but not quite there.
Because of the informal nature of the concept’s creation, it’s existence is actually a topic of debate among psychologists, with some proposing that there’s no well-defined valley per se, just an uncanny phenomenon that different people may feel to different degrees. Some people may not experience that uncanny sensation at all.
So since the uncanny valley isn’t a hard-and fast rule, it’s not an impassable obstacle when it comes to forming relationships with androids. Really people can form relationships with anything — humans are emotional creatures and we have a tendency to anthropomorphize even inanimate objects all the time.
The continuation of Processors and GPU’s improving exponentially through Moore’s Law has become very uncertain over the last few years, but recently the top hardware makers: Intel, AMD and Nvidia are now getting ready to deliver the biggest increases in performance we have ever seen. The fastest GPU’s and CPU’s with secret new features are about to release in the next few years to bring Moore’s Law back from the dead.
How they manage to create these new powerful chips, I’ll explain in this video. One thing is for sure, Nvidia Lovelace 4000 series, Zen 4 and Intel Meteor Lake are the future of Hardware and will accelerate the performance gain of next generation hardware.
Microsoft and Nvidia have been working hard to finally create an Artificial Intelligence Model which surpasses and beats OpenAI’s GPT3 with more than double the parameter count and almost reaching the amazing and intelligent amount of 1 Trillion Parameter models.
Unless OpenAI comes out with GPT4, it seems like the Megatron-Turing NLP AI Model is to be the best and smartest Artificial Intelligence of 2021 which the most abilities of any Natural Language Processing AI ever.
It’s also much easier to train than GPT3. It requires much less hardware and maybe with the upcoming Nvidia Lovelace GPU’s, it’ll be even easier to run for regular consumers.
