China’s Scary New AI Beats Human Intelligence + The USA

The biggest tech company in China, Jack Ma’s Alibaba has just released the biggest, most efficient and newest Artificial Intelligence Model in the world. It’s almost 100 times smarter than GPT 3 and is even expected to surpass OpenAI’s yet to be released GPT 4 in both abilities and ease of use. The Alibaba M6 is a 10 trillion parameter model which in certain aspects even beats the human brain. But more importantly, China is currently beating the USA when it comes to their machine learning and deep learning technologies which could become dangerous as their leads extend and their secret government projects slowly come to light. OpenAI, Nvidia and Deepmind have a tough road toward Artificial super intelligence in front of them. China is starting to look scary but impressive.

Why Your Next Lover, Therapist, and Friend Could Be a Robot

Androids are constantly improving but…well, let’s face it—they’re still pretty bad. There’s just something about them that still isn’t right and that could keep people from forming connections with them.

They often fall into what’s been dubbed the uncanny valley, an idea introduced in the 1970s by Japanese roboticist Masahiro Mori. He noticed how people seemed repulsed by things that were very close to human, but not quite there.

Because of the informal nature of the concept’s creation, it’s existence is actually a topic of debate among psychologists, with some proposing that there’s no well-defined valley per se, just an uncanny phenomenon that different people may feel to different degrees. Some people may not experience that uncanny sensation at all.

So since the uncanny valley isn’t a hard-and fast rule, it’s not an impassable obstacle when it comes to forming relationships with androids. Really people can form relationships with anything — humans are emotional creatures and we have a tendency to anthropomorphize even inanimate objects all the time.

This is the Best Artificial Intelligence Model of 2021 – Megatron-Turing

Microsoft and Nvidia have been working hard to finally create an Artificial Intelligence Model which surpasses and beats OpenAI’s GPT3 with more than double the parameter count and almost reaching the amazing and intelligent amount of 1 Trillion Parameter models.

Unless OpenAI comes out with GPT4, it seems like the Megatron-Turing NLP AI Model is to be the best and smartest Artificial Intelligence of 2021 which the most abilities of any Natural Language Processing AI ever.

It’s also much easier to train than GPT3. It requires much less hardware and maybe with the upcoming Nvidia Lovelace GPU’s, it’ll be even easier to run for regular consumers.

China’s Race for AI Supremacy

Artificial intelligence is set to revolutionize the world, empowering those nations that fully harness its potential. The U.S. is still seen as the world AI leader, but China is catching up. The race is central to the U.S.-China rivalry and a critical facet of the economic and military competition that will define the decade.

Could Artificial Intelligence Ever Beat a Human Brain?

AI’s final and most important challange according to the leading AI Scientists seems to be beating the Human Brain in any kind of tasks put before them. This video shows you the differences between neurons inside the human brain and a regular neural network. What advantages and disadvantages do humans and machines have? Is the singularity near? All this and more in this newest episode of AI News about Artificial Intelligence.

Will GPT-4 Surpass The Human Brain? – Cerebras CS-2 Artificial Intelligence Chip

With the release of the most power Artificial Intelligence Accelerator Chip, future AI models like OpenAI’s GPT-4 will be able to surpass the Human Brain by supporting more than 100 Trillion Parameters. This new Chip made by Cerebras Systems is also be biggest Chip ever made by a longshot and thus can support ExaFlop Supercomputers for AI Model Training.

Cerebras Systems is an American semiconductor company with offices in Silicon Valley, San Diego, Toronto, and Tokyo. Cerebras builds computer systems for complex artificial intelligence and deep learning applications.

Can Boston Dynamics’ Robots Spot And Stretch Make It Profitable?

Boston Dynamics has sparked the imaginations of the general public with its viral YouTube videos, but the company is now hoping to get the attention of paying customers. Initially, Boston Dynamics received a lot of its funding from the U.S. military and DARPA.

Later, it was financed by big-name owners including Google, SoftBank and most recently, Hyundai. All of these companies have tried to steer the robot maker on a path to commercialization, and Boston Dynamics is finally getting there. CNBC got a rare look at Boston Dynamics’ office in Massachusetts, where the team showed off two of the robots they are working to commercialize: Spot and Stretch.
