The Rise of Artificial General Intelligence – A.G.I

Artificial intelligence or A.I is vital in the 21st century global economy. The development of A.I algorithms have made automation critical in almost every field of technology. As we make technological progress, one day, we will eventually have the capacity to build a super intelligence or Artificial general intelligence commonly known as A.G.I. But before that day comes, we have to solve the A.I alignment problem. The development of autonomous weapons seems like a step backwards of that goal. Humanity has to solve the A.I control problem if we want to survive. An A.G.I might decide to exterminate us if it sees us as a threat to its existence. In this video we explain the current development of A.I systems which will lead inevitably to the rise of an artificial general intelligence

Artificial Intelligence Humanoid Robots Risks and Benefits

From SIRI to self-driving cars, artificial intelligence (AI) is progressing rapidly. While science fiction often portrays AI, as robots with human-like characteristics, AI can encompass anything from Googleโ€™s search algorithms, to IBMโ€™s Watson, to autonomous weapons. There are some true and important questions, where even the AI experts disagree.

What Is Machine Learning (The Dawn of Artificial Intelligence)

In the past few videos in this series, we have delved quite deep into the field of machine learning, discussing both supervised and unsupervised learning. The focus of this video then is to consolidate many of the topics weโ€™ve discussed in the past videos and answer the question posed at the start of this machine learning series, the difference between artificial intelligence and machine learning!

Microsoft announces supercomputer with human like artificial intelligence

Microsoft (MSFT) on Tuesday announced that it has built one of the top five supercomputers in the world designed specifically for OpenAI. The company made the announcement during its Build developers conference, which is being held virtually rather than in person in Seattle where it is usually held each year. The supercomputer, Microsoft says, will be used to train OpenAIโ€™s own artificial intelligence models. OpenAI, which was founded in 2015 and received initial funding from the likes of Elon Musk and Sam Altman. Musk has since left the company, while Altman is now its CEO. The company is working to create artificial general intelligence, or AI that is capable of outperforming humans, according to the groupโ€™s charter. The firm says its main concern is that such technologies benefit all of humanity, while ensuring its power doesnโ€™t become concentrated in the hands of a few. The new supercomputer has an incredible 285,000 CPU cores, 10,000 graphics processing units, and 400 gigabits per second of connectivity for each GPU server. While the computer ranks in the top five of the most powerful machines in the world, Microsoft wonโ€™t say exactly where it falls on that list.

Artificial intelligence on the rise

Let machines learn, think and do things for us: that was the original idea behind artificial intelligence. The concept isn’t new, but modern hardware and algorithms have brought its potential to a new level. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have already witnessed digital minds fighting alongside humans. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence is also seen as one of the main engines for the next industrial revolution. So, what will the future look like with powerful AI? What can it be ultimately capable of? And what are the concerns that surround this promising technology? In the future, where will be the boundary between human and machine?
