The Carbon Cycle Process

The carbon cycle is one of several biogeochemical cycles found on Earth. Carbon is found in almost all living organisms and makes up around .04 percent of our atmosphere. What are the steps of the carbon cycle and how does the Carbon cycle work? Carbon may travel several paths including, The atmosphere, the terrestrial biosphere, the earth’s interior which includes the lithosphere, the ocean, and human influence like burning fossil fuels and other objects that store carbon. In the video, I go through a carbon cycle diagram and explain each step. Carbon can be found in several forms including carbon dioxide and methane. The carbon cycle is essential for many ecosystems on Earth.

The Reality of Carbon Capture

It’s held up as both an essential piece of our renewable energy transition and a last ditch effort of the fossil fuel industry to keep polluting. Regardless of which side of the debate you’re on, there’s been a lot of advancements in recent years. Most of the headlines come from direct air carbon capture technology, but there are some natural approaches starting to get attention that could not only sequester carbon from the atmosphere, but also improve our food production, reduce erosion, and many other benefits. Do we need to build giant machines to capture carbon or has nature already given us the technology we need? Let’s see if we can come to a decision on this.

Blockchain bridges: the beauty and the beast in the room | Giuseppe Stuto | TEDxBostonStudio

Blockchain bridges are an essential building block to establishing a crypto enabled global economy. Although there are many useful, forward looking use cases that will arise from having effective cross-chain bridges, there are many drawbacks the industry faces today that must be considered. The opportunity for building necessary cross-chain infrastructure is immense. Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Investment, Software, Start-up, Technology Giuseppe Stuto is a first US generation, Boston-based entrepreneur who currently serves as the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 186 Ventures, an early stage VC fund. Prior to co-founding 186 Ventures, Giuseppe was the Co-Founder and CEO of Fam, a group video software company that scaled to north of seven million users and that was acquired by Draftkings. Today Giuseppe spends most of his time investing in and helping entrepreneurs build in Web3 / Crypto, FinTech, and enterprise SaaS. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

How Graphene Could Solve Our Concrete Problem

Graphene is considered one of the most important breakthroughs in material science since its discovery. This “wonder material” was widely overhyped, and still hasn’t lived up to its potential. But since my previous video on the truth about graphene, we can now see more concrete and realistic applications hitting the market — not those out of this world promises like the space elevator. What if we could cut down carbon (CO2) emissions from cement production by 20% and make cheaper and more powerful EV batteries using graphene battery technology? Is graphene finally starting to deliver on the promise? Let’s see if we can come to a decision on this.
