The headline upgrade is 30-second generation in a single pass — one continuous 4K clip, double the 15-second cap of Seedance 2.0, with no stitching. It can even handle scene changes inside a single generation while your character, lighting, and camera stay consistent throughout.
Reference capacity jumps from 12 files to 50. You can load multiple angles of your character, your product, your environment, style references, and audio into one generation, steering lighting, camera movement, and performance through references instead of describing everything in a text prompt. ByteDance reports prompt adherence is around 20% better than 2.0. It’s also much better at working from 3D: block out your scene with rough untextured geometry, feed it in as a reference, and Seedance follows the layout and camera move you built.
Region editing lets you regenerate only a specific section of your video. If a generation is 95% right but one detail is off — hair color, a product label — you fix just that area while the motion, camera, and lighting stay intact, instead of re-rolling the whole clip.
